Ok, I’m starting my 30 day Writing challenge - I will write something related to an LTL class topic I studied every day for 30 days. First one is today(feel free to suggest any corrections).
Feel free to post your own writing here too on one of your class topic.
I asked Langotalk’s Ai Tutor. This is its answer: In the original passage, there were some informal expressions, but there were no obvious grammar mistakes. The author’s point of view was clear and easily understood by readers. However, as a learning target, I suggest focusing on more formal and authentic expressions.
I asked: Can you give him an example for such a more authentic expression?
当然可以!举个例子,他原来写的是:“我昨天去了图书馆学习。” 更地道的表达可以是:“昨天,我去图书馆学习了。” Of course! For example, he originally wrote: “我昨天去了图书馆学习.” A more authentic expression could be: “昨天,我去图书馆学习了.”
Thank you for sharing the differences between Chinese and American weddings. It was really insightful and gave me a better understanding of the cultural aspects of weddings in different countries. In Vietnam, weddings are quite similar to Chinese weddings but don’t necessarily have to feature red as the main color tone in decor.
First of all, it should NOT contain 过,that was a typo when I was deciding between 从来不 and 从来没。
I could be wrong too, but I believe 从来没。。。过 is like “Never ever” like "I’ve never eaten Alligator (in my entire life)
Whereas, 从来不 is like, its not my habit, like “I never eat fish” , of course I have eaten fish once or twice, but I don’t like it, so I never eat it as a habit.
So I chose 从来不 because I HAVE had milk in tea a couple times before, but I thought it was weird (我是美国人)
In Saigon, there is also a shared bike service available, which charges 10,000 VND per ride. However, this service is predominantly used by younger generations.
What are some other special things during the dragon boat festival in China? Yesterday was the mid-year Festival in Vietnam, which is the same as the dragon boat festival in China. On this day, we eat duck, rice balls sweet soup, Vietnamese fermented glutinous rice, and some other sweet food.
