What's your birth month in Spanish? 🎂

July is my birth month and I just learned that July in Spanish is “julio”, which confuses me because Julio is also a name

I find it also very similar to July in Italian which is “luglio”, so I better not mix up the two.

I started learning the language very recently so months in Spanish is one of the first lessons. Thankfully the names are very similar to English, for example:

February in Spanish is febrero, April is abril, August is agosto… which makes it easier to remember.

Here’s a useful image to save to study all of them easily:

To learn even more about months in Spanish I definitely recommend:

mi cumpleaños es en mayo! :balloon: which, as a huge fan of mayo, is perfect for me

I’m glad the months in Spanish are so similar to English, refreshing after years of studying Mandarin!

Now I know Spanish is very similar to English. I will consider studying Spanish, as maybe having an English background will shorten the learning journey.

Yeahh!
Mi mes de cumpleaños es febrero.
Remember when you use julio you can use differently, e.g.
El es Julio (name)
Yo nací en julio (month)
For names we use caps!

At first i thought months should be capitalised like in English but no! Only names, it is easier that way I think

Glad it helps!

Ohh interesting! I thought that months were capitalized in Spanish as well, good to know thanks
