What is your Japanese name and what does it mean? 🗾

So as a foreigner I should use the katakana:

私の名前はハンナです! Watashi no namae wa Hanna desu!

BUT instead of ハンナ I prefer to use 花 (hana) which is a female Japanese name meaning flower. My Japanese teacher once told me katakana is usually used for foreigners, but in this case 花 works too :cherry_blossom:

My Japanese friends gave me a transliteration of my name (pronounced tah MEE kah) many years ago when I was in college. Funny, I started forgetting how to write it, then re-remembered it a couple of years ago when I started learning Chinese hanzi.

My Japanese name: 多美花, a lot of beautiful flowers.
