What are your 2026 language goals?

It’s been nearly one month into the year 2026, I’ve set a few things in learning languages that I want to achieve:

  • Start to learn and finish Chinese Mandarin HSK3 level classes on Flexi Classes
  • Continue to learn Japanese and manage to reach N4 level since the long break after my university
  • Picking some basic sentences in Slovenian
    Sooooo, what are your language goals in 2026? :sparkles:Also, do you learn languages just as a hobby or for your career, exams, etc.?

Slovenian?! That’s a fun choice!!

For me it’s all systems go with Korean. I want to get as far as possible and be able to have conversations by the end of the year.

For Italian and Chinese, just maintain!

My finger slipped and I bought 200 lessons on LTL so my goal is to use those lessons before they expire. I wish they didn’t expire so soon :sweat_smile:

I’m studying Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish on here. Actually that’s all the languages I’m studying at the moment but if they added German to LTL I’d brush that up a bit. I’d really like to be “conversationally” fluent in Korean this year. I have been studying since right before Covid so it’s kind of been a while now. I must be getting close by now! Spanish too but if I had to pick I’d go with Korean and that’s the one I’m putting the most time into. Japanese I’m just trying not to forget too much. Chinese I’m a total noob and anything is better than nothing.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

How are you finding Korean?

I’m actually a bit behind on my goals due to work, but I’m getting back on track and taking classes 2–4 times per week.
Currently, I’m focusing on grammar drills with Flexi teachers to gain a deeper understanding of the grammar points I haven’t fully mastered yet.
So, 2026 is all about Mandarin for me.

Which language do you find the most difficult?
I think I’ll learn Korean after I reach my goal in Mandarin. Korean girls in movies sound so cute with their soft, baby voices. I wish I could sound that cute when I learn the language haha :lexthelion_face_quirky:
