I am back with another grammar but this time an easy one: y in Spanish
I keep moving forward with the Spanish curriculum on Flexi and really cherish when a grammar point is easy to learn!
Y in Spanish is super straight forward as it is the equivalent of “and” in English and is used in the same way.
The only tricky part is that “e” also means “and”.
“e” is used instead of “y” in Spanish when immediately followed by the sound i and hi.
For example:
- aguja e hilo (needle and thread)
- United Airlines e Easyjet
But it is not difficult to remember.
Now I hope “or”, “but” and “if” as similarly easy to learn! What do you think?
