Not long now until Squid Game 2 comes out. I believe the date is December 26th (in the UK) at least.
Anyone started re-watching series 1 to refresh the memory and brush of those Korean cobwebs?

This teaser trailer dropped, but it doesn’t give much away for Season 2 
but we know our main guy is back at least

I have mixed feelings about this. When it first came out they were very definite about “there is only one season and there will never be another one”. And now they have one, which feels to me like might be all about the money and the 2nd season was written simply because someone was paid so much money to do it, that they could not say no.
So, I am quite sceptical if the 2nd season will be as good as the first. Also, the first was a rather crazy idea and different way of looking at people, ourselves and society. For season 2 to be amazing again they would need to come up with a very new and amazing angle, because if they just do the same things as in season 1 then I rather watch season 1 again.
Only my musings…I hope I am wrong, but who knows.

100% get this.
Some of the greatest British comedies going back years are remembered because there are only 10-15 episodes.
Despite the clamour for a new series or a re-union they never did, and they stood the test of time.
I’m very much a believer in less is more.
A good example of the opposite - How I Met Your Mother. A US comedy that was hyped as the “next Friends”, but they dragged it out wayyyy too long and the ending was dreadfully received by fans.
Less is more… I’m also very skeptical, but I hope they pull it off because it was a superb watch.

Anyone watched the Season 2 yet? I have heard people say it is a disappointing season so I am still considering whether to watch or not (but no spoiler please!!)
I watched it all within 3 days over Christmas!
Seems the issue many people have is it doesn’t really answer many questions.
I feels more like S2 Part I. They said S3 is coming out in 2025 so it almost feels like a pre-cursor to that.
I’d watch it for sure, still has all the elements we liked from S1.
