How to get the most out of a JLPT practice test
- Start one level below your target. If you score well, move up. It’s a quick way to find your real level.
- Write down every word you miss. Your mistakes are your study list for the next week.
- Retake the test a week or two later. Seeing your score go up is good motivation, and it shows whether your revision is working.
- Remember what these tests cover. They focus on vocab and grammar. The real exam also has reading and listening, so practice those separately too.
