Favourite night market in Taipei?

For those of you who have been to Taipei, which is your favourite night market and why?

I’ve been to quite a few before and I’m refreshing my knowledge during my current trip.

I have a soft spot for Linjiang Night Market (conveniently near LTL Taipei actually).

It’s less touristy, not huge and has some amazing food options.

I also recently discovered Linjiang Night Market and really like it! It’s got such a chill vibe, and the food options are pretty good.

That said, my all-time favorite is still Shilin Night Market. It’s big, lively, and super easy to walk around—plus, it’s got that classic night market energy. But if I’m craving those amazing pepper buns, I’ll always head to Raohe Night Market. They’re just next-level there!

What’s your go-to food at Linjiang?

Shilin is the biggest one, right? Good fun there, more for kids and stuff like that.

Hard to pin down one food isn’t it!

I’m a sucker for a 串儿 skewer. Also love the 地瓜球 and 葱油饼(辣的).

Actually found a little Vietnamese corner on my most recent visit and they did a superb Banh Mi with all the fillings :yum:

Great choice of night market food!

My favourite night market in Taipei is actually LeHua (down near Yong’an Market Station on the orange line). It’s in New Taipei so it’s super local and lots of great food/drink options. I always get the best Thai tea and dumplings there!

This is a new one I’ve never heard of!

Added straight to the list, thanks Hannah.

I saw all these things!! I also actually ate them too, great choices and thanks so much for sharing.

IMO the best thing about Taipei is the night markets. Always something new to discover and you never leave hungry

Watching them at work is also art!

The entrance is a thing of beauty.

And I love the temple outside the main entrance also.
