Does it feel natural for you to swear in a second language?

Some people don’t swear in their mother tongue but feel more comfortable swearing in a second language because it feels less intense than in their native language. Is this true?

Yes, for me, somehow I feel more comfortable and less intense when I swear in other languages, it’s kinda fun actually hahahah like nonchalantly and naturally swearing

In my case very much. I am German and would never say “Scheiße” (shit), but sometimes use even stronger slur in English. (In Chinese I don’t know any swear words yet, let’s see  )

In Italian, yes. I Chinese/Korean/Japanese no.

Weird that! Never thought of it before.

Interesting. I feel everything is very intense, so I don’t learn any swear words in any language
What about the listener? Taking English as an example, when you hear someone use swear words, do you feel it sounds strong, or just normal?

It’s been a long time since I studied German but I loved swearing in German because a lot of the swear words are cognates and so it was like I was swearing in English but I wasn’t. Great for thinking to yourself silently in your head or out loud!

Asian languages don’t seem to have any swear words that I can tell. It’s very unfortunate.
