Konnichiwa! I wanted to share some useful Japanese words and phrases for restaurants. These are my top 5:
γγ£γγγγγΎγ (irrashaimase) β βWelcome!β Youβll hear this a lot when entering!
___ γγγ γγ (___ o kudasai) β β___ please.β This is probably the most useful phrase youβll learn. Itβs great for ordering drinks, food and asking for things like the menu or check. E.g.:
γδΌθ¨γγγ γγγ (okaikei o kudasai.) Please give me the check.
γ‘γγ₯γΌγγγ γγγ (menyuu o kudasai.) Please give me the menu.
γγγγγγγγΎγγ? (osusume ga arimasu ka) β βDo you have any recommendations?β - if youβre unfamiliar with certain types of food or restaurants, this can be a useful hack.
___ ζΎι‘ (___ houdai) β βAll you can ___.β Look out for all-you-can-eat or drink deals!
εε (tanpin) β βIndividual item.β Useful when you donβt want to order an entire set.
