I’ve stayed with Korean families in Seoul and Chinese families in Beijing and Chengde.
I must admit, it’s one of my favourite ways to learn the language.
Making friends with the family members, discovering the city through their eyes and trying food that typically tourists don’t come across.
The beauty of the homestay is the cultural lessons you learn and for that reason I really had so much fun at all the aforementioned homestays!
