I am definitely a botanical gardens, museum, culture, history sort of person. Thanks for those tips about Hangzhou and Suzhou. I looked them up and the references to classical gardens had me hooked! I think I’ll also appreciate the “quieter feeling.” I’ve lived in what the US considers ‘big cities’ but never in any city more than 3million so I suspect I may need a bit of quiet time scattered throughout my trip.
